Every so often, albeit rarely, I have a little time to lay in the hammock in my backyard.

It’s sunny and warm here in California making it the perfect time for just such an opportunity.

While there, my mind slowed down, and I was flooded with memories of all the touching, inspiring and growth filled moments I’ve experienced while serving you and many co-ops across the country.

The kinship and encouragement we all share.

The frustration, challenges and doubts that make co-ops so rich with humanity.

And I was, and still am, moved by the thought that in the midst of our day to day grind we have each other.

Co-op people…the people I love to spend time with. You matter a great deal to me.

We are all here unified by a common purpose.

I just wanted to take a moment of your Monday morning to tell you that you have my heart, respect and the deepest of gratitude for what you do and our shared connection.

You have brought meaning and value to my life.

And my hope today is that we don’t get too busy and distracted to turn to someone or drop someone a note to let them know how we feel.
