Each one of us wears two hats for our staff. We’re part manager and part leader. As managers we support our staff in making it happen at our co-ops on a day to day basis, and as leaders, we show the way forward.
In times like these, the leader in us has to step forward.
Our staff needs us more than ever to bring clarity and calm.
To be steady and measured about where best to put our attention in order to be of service to each other and our communities.
When the surges of fear and panic take hold, our assuredness and confidence in our “get-through-it-ness” is the light and leading voice most needed in these challenging times.
It is a time when great cooperation will be needed in our communities.
This is not a new concept for us. This is the definition of a co-op.
These already existing strengths are being utilized and demonstrated co-op for co-op all across this country.
I know I speak for many when I say thank you. Thank you for hanging in there for what has been one heck of a week, with likely another one the way.
We’re built for this, and as is often true, not by our choice but by our inherent ability we’re thrust into our finest hour of service.
