Your staff members are rooting for you!

They’re rooting that you become the boss they need.

They are rooting that you can be a great leader so they can be a really good follower.

Seriously, by far, the majority are ready to be there for you. 

The catch is – you have to be there for them.

That means managing.

Being active with communication and consistent in holding folks to expectations.

Showing up on time, following policies, demonstrating excellent service, following-through, creating workable systems and providing tools.

You do this; you have them.

Yes, there’s always going to be staff grumbling, bending and stretching.

When you manage, staff might seem to not like it at times but deep down they appreciate it and respect it.

I’ve seen it.

Yes, they’re rooting for you and I’m rooting for you also.
